Warranty Conditions
Welcome to the Simplicity Vacuums family! Every day we roll up our sleeves, knowing we have an important mission: bringing you great tools to help you clean. Every Simplicity vacuum comes with a warranty that covers manufacturer's defects.
Below you'll find information about our product warranty duration and the warranty policy including what's covered, what's not covered and where to get service.
Simplicity Vacuums limited warranty
Truvox International Limited trading as Simplicity Vacuums (“Simplicity Vacuums”, “our”) warrants to the consumer who originally purchased the Simplicity Vacuums product ("you", “your”) that for the warranty period set out in the paragraph below, your product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship when it is used under normal household conditions and maintained according to the requirements outlined in the Owner Manual for your product, subject to the conditions and exclusions set out below.
Please note that the warranty is only available to you if you register your warranty with Simplicity Vacuums.
Warranty period
The warranty period for Simplicity Vacuums products varies depending on the model of the product. Unless otherwise stated in the user manual for the model of product that you purchased, the warranty period is 1 year from the date you bought the product from Simplicity Vacuums or one of our authorised retailers.
Please note that warranty durations may change and the warranty period for any Simplicity Vacuums product that you buy in the future may be different from the warranty duration of your current product.
Who may use this limited warranty?
Simplicity Vacuums gives the limited warranty set out above only to the consumer who originally purchased the product within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from Simplicity Vacuums or one of our authorised retailers and registered your warranty with Simplicity Vacuums. This limited warranty does not extend to any subsequent owner or other transferee of the product unless the new owner can provide written evidence that the product was properly transferred to them.
What's covered by this limited warranty?
- The original product, as described above, and/or non-wearable parts that are defective will be repaired or replaced for the duration of the warranty period. If found to be defective within the stated warranty period, the defective product or part will be replaced or repaired at no charge to you (both parts and labour) by an authorised Simplicity service centre.
- If a replacement product is issued, the warranty coverage continues from the date of purchase of the original product. Simplicity Vacuums reserves the right to replace the original product with one of equal or greater value.
- Return freight and reshipment costs (ground freight only) are prepaid by Simplicity Vacuums for warranty claims that meet the eligibility requirements.
What's not covered by this limited warranty?
This limited warranty does not cover the following:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Consumable or wearable parts (for example foam filters, HEPA filters, mains leads, floor brushes, , batteries, filters etc.) unless failure is within one month of purchase and due to an identifiable manufacturing fault. Replacement parts are available for purchase from your local retailer or at www.simplicityvac.co.uk.
- Any product that has been used for commercial or hire purposes.
- Damage caused by accident, improper maintenance, misuse (e.g., vacuuming up water or other liquids), abuse, negligent handling, exposure of electrical components to moisture, failure to perform required maintenance (e.g., not cleaning the filters or changing the bags), or damage due to mishandling in transit or use on a voltage supply other than that stamped on the product.
- Repairs, modifications or adjustments performed by someone other than an authorised Simplicity Vacuums service engineer or service agent and damages caused in the process of shipping the product to and from the repair person not authorized by Simplicity Vacuums.
- Products that are second-hand, or products after the end of the warranty period.
- Products that have not been assembled, used, or maintained in accordance with the operating instructions.
- Defects or damage caused by the use of non-genuine Simplicity parts (including but not limited to bags, belts, filters and spare parts).
- Products in which filters have been washed and/or bags have been reused.
- Any product in which the serial number has been altered or removed or products that have unauthorized modifications.
- Normal maintenance, such as the removal of any blockages or cleaning brush rollers.
Conditions
- Claims will only be accepted from the original consumer purchaser of the product within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from Simplicity or one of our authorised retailers. Distributors, dealers and other resellers are responsible for the warranty to their customers.
- Claims made under the terms of the warranty must be supported by the original invoice or bill of sale issued at the time of sale. Online auction or purchase confirmations are not accepted for warranty verification, and Simplicity Vacuums will not replace missing components from any package purchased through an online auction.
- The bill of sale must record the serial number of the product.
- Simplicity Vacuums will not compensate you for all losses caused by the defective product. Simplicity Vacuums shall not be liable for any loss which was unforeseeable or incidental.
- The terms of this warranty are governed by English law.
- Repairs have a 90-day warranty. If the product repaired is still under its original warranty, then the new warranty is 90 days or to the end of the original warranty for the product (as set out in the paragraph headed “Warranty term” above), depending upon which is longer.
- This warranty does not cover costs and risks of transport relating directly or indirectly to the product.
Warranty claims procedure
Any claim made under this warranty should be made in writing directly to Simplicity Vacuums at Unit C (East), Hamilton Business Park, Manaton Way, Botley Road, Hedge End, Southampton, UK SO30 2JR or by email to support@simplicityvac.co.uk. Please use the Simplicity Warranty Claim Form. A separate form should be completed for each product. All components replaced or repaired must be shown on each form.
Before Simplicity Vacuums can approve a warranty claim it will need to confirm that the product is within its warranty period and that the faulty product meets the conditions set out above.
Once the warranty claim is approved Simplicity Vacuums will issue a Case Number. Please use this Case Number in all communication relating to the claim as this will help us to identify your claim.
All components that have been replaced must be retained for a minimum of six weeks after a warranty claim has been approved. Simplicity Vacuums reserves the right to require replaced components to be returned for inspection.
You have statutory rights in relation to your product if the product is faulty or misdescribed. This warranty is offered as an extra benefit and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.
Our policy is one of continual product development and we reserve the right to alter specification without prior notice.
